Norse Mythology Odin Copper Medallion in Gold Filled Coin Bezel with Valkyrie on Reverse
Regular price$ 84.00
The Legend of Odin comes alive in this amazingly detailed coin medallion. According to Norse mythology, Odin was the ruler of Asgard, the land of the gods. He was the eldest and father of the gods. Odin was said to have only one eye because he sacrificed it in his quest for wisdom. The coin front shows the Norse god Odin seated on his throne and flanked by the wolves Geri and Freki and the ravens Huginn and Muninn. Around the upper curvature are the words, "Odin The All-Father". The reverse features a Valkyrie, ready for battle astride a horse.
The pendant is an instant eye catcher and will sure to be the source of many conversations. Give as a gift to yourself and share your love of Norse Mythology and the Vikings - or give as a special gift to someone who can appreciate its meaning and beauty. It includes a velvet jewelry pouch, deluxe gift box and my signed certificate of authenticity.
The coin medallion is truck in one ounce of pure (.999) pure copper. It has a satin brushed finish. The bezel setting is genuine gold-filled. The bail at the top of the bezel will accommodate your chain or cord necklaces up to 4mm in diameter - be sure to consider the clasp size to be sure it will fit through the bail hole.
Copper will oxidize over time and darken like a copper penny does. Allow the coin medallion to oxidize normally or occasionally gently clean it with copper polish using a very soft cloth to restore the lustrous copper appearance.
